| Security features: Since 1 October 1997, the following security features figure on the photographs of the new model: |
| the letters NL are perforated into the upper right corner of the holder’s photograph. The right side of the photograph has a serrated edge and the postal code of the issuing authority is perforated into the lower part of the photograph. |
